Gluten Free Fall Fest

1. PARTICIPATION

Participation in the Gluten-Free Family Fall Fest (“Event”) and its related activities, entertainment, games, crafts, demonstrations, food sampling, vendor activities, and other event programming is voluntary.

2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand that participation in an outdoor/public festival may involve certain risks, including but not limited to:

• Slips, trips, and falls

• Uneven ground or surfaces

• Weather conditions

• Heat, cold, rain, wind, or other environmental conditions

• Crowds and contact with other participants

• Playground or recreational activities

• Arts and crafts

• Interaction with entertainers, performers, vendors, or event equipment

• Food and beverage consumption

• Allergic reactions or food-related illness

• Damage to or loss of personal property

• Other risks associated with attending a public event

I voluntarily assume these risks and agree to take reasonable precautions for myself and any minor participant accompanying me.

3. GLUTEN-FREE AND FOOD ALLERGY ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I understand that the Gluten-Free Family Fall Fest is intended to provide a gluten-free-focused event experience, but I acknowledge that the Event Organizer does not personally prepare, inspect, test, or certify every food product served or sold at the Event.

Food products may be prepared by independent vendors.

I understand that cross-contact with gluten or other allergens may occur despite reasonable precautions.

I am responsible for determining whether a food, beverage, sample, ingredient, or product is appropriate for myself or my child.

I agree to ask vendors appropriate questions regarding ingredients, preparation, and potential cross-contact before consuming any food or beverage.

I understand that the Organizer cannot guarantee that any food or product is safe for every individual with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, food allergies, or other dietary restrictions.

4. MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND ALLERGIES

I understand that I am responsible for informing my child, accompanying adults, and appropriate event personnel of any relevant allergies, dietary restrictions, medical conditions, or other considerations that may affect participation.

If the participant carries an epinephrine auto-injector or other emergency medication, I understand that the participant or parent/guardian is responsible for bringing and properly managing that medication unless otherwise arranged.

The Organizer does not provide medical supervision or guarantee the availability of medical professionals at the Event.

5. EMERGENCY MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION

In the event of an emergency, I authorize Event personnel to contact emergency medical services when reasonably necessary.

I understand that Event personnel are not responsible for providing medical diagnosis or treatment.

I authorize emergency medical personnel to provide appropriate emergency care to me or the minor participant if I or the minor participant is unable to provide consent at the time of an emergency.

I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

6. CHILD SUPERVISION

For participants under 18, the parent or legal guardian understands that the child remains the responsibility of the parent, guardian, or designated supervising adult unless the Event Organizer has expressly stated otherwise in writing.

The Event is not a drop-off childcare program unless specifically designated as such by the Organizer.

Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children and ensuring that children participate in activities appropriate for their age and abilities.

7. PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES

I understand that activities may include crafts, games, dancing, entertainment, physical activities, demonstrations, and other interactive experiences.

I agree to follow reasonable safety instructions provided by Event personnel, entertainers, vendors, and venue staff.

The Organizer reserves the right to restrict participation in an activity when reasonably necessary for safety.

8. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless the Gluten-Free Fall Fest Organizer, its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, entertainers, vendors, sponsors, venue, agents, and representatives from claims arising from my or my child’s voluntary participation in the Event, except to the extent caused by conduct that cannot legally be released under applicable law.

This release does not waive any rights that cannot legally be waived.

9. PERSONAL PROPERTY

I understand that I am responsible for my personal belongings.

The Organizer is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

10. PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO RELEASE

I understand that photographs and video may be taken during the Event for promotional, advertising, social media, website, and other legitimate business or Event-related purposes.

By signing this waiver, I grant the Organizer permission to photograph or record me and/or the minor participant identified above and to use such images or recordings for Event-related promotional purposes without additional compensation.

I understand that incidental appearance in crowd or wide-angle event photographs may occur despite reasonable efforts to honor this request.

11. CODE OF CONDUCT

I agree to follow reasonable Event and venue rules.

I understand that the Organizer may ask a participant to leave the Event if the participant engages in unsafe, threatening, disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior.

No refund is guaranteed when a participant is removed because of inappropriate or unsafe conduct.

12. WEATHER AND EVENT CONDITIONS

I understand that the Event takes place outdoors.

I accept responsibility for dressing appropriately and monitoring weather conditions.

The Organizer may modify, delay, relocate, or cancel activities because of weather, safety concerns, venue restrictions, emergencies, or circumstances beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control.

13. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By purchasing ticket(s), I confirm I agree to the contents of this waiver.
